Maoyuu Maou Yuusha – 02
Maou and the hero arrive at a small, newly developed village where they will spend some time conducting experiments and teaching the villagers new farming techniques. Maou’s head maid had went ahead of them and secured a mansion for them to live in before their arrival. At night, an intimate moment between Maou and Yusha is interrupted by the whine a horse in the barn below. They go to investigate and find two run away children who wanted to escape their lives as serfs. They are taken in by Maou, and eventually hired by the head maid as her assistants.
In the span of two episodes, the relationship between Maou and Yuusha went from sworn enemies to straight up lovers. Damn that’s fast, we actually might be setting new records in anime here. But, I really can’t blame Yuusha for anything. After all, who could possibly deny her after making such a cute embarrassed face?
But seriously, Maou aside, I really do like the direction in which this anime is heading towards. When I watch Maoyuu Mao Yuusha, everything just feels right. The show itself seems so incredibly mundane and yet, my attention is completely drawn in as if by some mysterious force, and I’m left wanting more when the credits roll. I can’t quite put my finger on just what makes Maoyuu so enjoyable to me yet, but what I do know is that I’ll definitely be sticking with it for the winter, and wouldn’t be at all surprised if it turned out to be the show of the season.
