Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! – 06
First off, I need to give credit where credit is due. Mr. Typesetter at ggsubs, you are a fine sir. I usually skip over it so I just noticed today, but the work you did on Chuunibyou’s OP was splendid.
This ep. was by far best that Chuunibyou has put out yet. I definitely could not stop smiling the whole way through. Those t-shirt poses, the milk drinking, the Nibutani black-mailing, and don’t forget the hairakiri. The list goes on and on.
I’d like to mention that while at first I didn’t like her all that much, I’ve found that I’m really starting to warm up to Nibutani’s character. It’s thoroughly entertaining to watch when she wages thermo-nuclear war against Dekomori. The milk was funny, but what really got me was Nibutani’s ambush on Dekomori, which resulted in an all out brawl to the death. While that sadistic side of her is great, the thing that I enjoy most about Nibutani is that she possesses an understanding side too. She takes the time to listen to Isshiki’s man troubles, puts in her hours at the club room, and tolerates (even encourages) Dekomori’s antics. Multi-faceted for the win.
I’m really curious how next week will play out with the priestess’ surprise request. Stupid cliffhangers… But it seems like the obligatory beach episode is coming. It’s just a matter of Chuunibyou opting to go for some character development (Rikka and Taichi going alone), or some fan service (whole group goes together).
