Brief Summary:
Araragi runs into Mayoi on his way to a study session at Senjougahara’s house. They are interrupted by Kanbaru Suruga, the star of the basketball club who followed Araragi to ask his opinion on a news article. However, Mayoi later interprets the encounter as an act of affection towards him.

Araragi arrives at Senjougahara’s house and mentions Kanbaru while the two are studying. Senjougahara is alarmed by Araragi’s casual mentioning of Kanbaru’s name (lack of honorifics) and threatens to stab one of his eyeballs out with her pencil. Araragi begs for mercy and yells out that he is devoted solely to Senjougahara. She explains that Kanbaru was a friend in school who discovered her weight problem and was threatened into silence. They haven’t talked since and Senjougahara suspects that she is stalking Araragi because they are dating.

Araragi calls Hanekawa to find out more information about Kanbaru and ends up uncovering a part of his girlfriend’s as well. Hanekawa tells him about the Baruhara (Valhalla) Combo made from the -baru in Kanbaru and the -hara in Senjougahara named for their exceptional athletic skills. She lectures him on his relationship and tells him not to dig too deeply into his lover’s past.

Araragi suddenly realizes that he had forgotten Senjougahara’s payment to Oshino and catches a glimpse of something out of the corner of his eye. He turns around to face a hooded figure with a bandage trailing out of one of its sleeves and is caught by surprise with a quick flurry of punches to the face. He is sent flying onto the train tracks and awakes to find Senjougahara standing in front of him with the payment for Oshino in hand.

Thoughts:
This episode was extremely dialogue heavy as usual and went deep into the relationship between Araragi and Senjougahara. It was hilarious when he likened his life to a galge game and how he had “already captured the toughest character”. hahaaaaaaaa………bitch.

Senjougahara briefly mentions that Kanbaru had a crush on her in school. It would not be so hard to imagine that the reason Kanbaru made contact with Araragi was to confirm her suspicion that he was dating Senjougahara. I haven’t read this arc of the light novel but I’m guessing that badass thing is…Show ▼

Pretty awesome episode overall. The production quality was strong, probably due to the fact that each episode has a grand total of about 5 scenes but I’m not complaining. GJ SHAFT YOUR DOING IT RIGHT.

Pretty sad that there’s no new episode next week. Oh well… at least the Endless Eight arc finally finished.
