Monochrome Factor - 01

Quick Summary:
Nikaidou Akira is a delinquent who doesn’t like school, and is always pestered by his friend, Suzuno Aya, to shape up. One day, as he was walking home, he encounters a person named Shirogane who explains that he is a shadow. Shirogane also tries to go somewhere with Akira more private to discuss other things, but creeped out, Akira says no. Shirogane disappears, saying that they will meat again. That night, Akira goes to an arcade with his friend, Keigo, and they help a rich-looking girl who was going to be taken advantage of. Aya shows up with her wooden sword to chase to two boys because they spend all their time playing around. She decides to not punish them, but in return, they need to accompany her to the school at night so she can retrieve her stuffed animal. While at the school, they are attacked by shadow beings but are saved by Shirogane, who explains everything. Akira doesn’t believe and runs away, only to be swallowed up by a trap in the ground, Shirogane saves him and using a chant and a kiss, transforms Akira into a Shin, a person like Shirogane who can fight the shadow monsters and also has no shadow. Together they defeat the monsters throughout the night and in the morning, Akira turns back into a human, regaining his shadow.

Thoughts:
I was impressed by their cast. Daisuke Ono (aka Koizumi Itsuki) as the main character, Akira. Junichi Suwabe (aka Archer from Fate/Stay Night) as Shirogane. There’s are the voice actors for Itoshiki Nozomu from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Osana Najimi from Doujin Work, and also Kamina and Rossiu from Gurren Lagann as various sidekicks and etc. The animation quality is alright. The action scenes were alright. Everything is simply alright. There’s a lot of random cartoon-y scenes that take away from the action, but I guess some people like that. However, I think that the huge heads with the blank circles for eyes is done too much in anime in general now. That type of drawing should be left to comedies, doujins, and other not so serious businesses.
The storyline, I thought, was pretty good. It’s interesting enough, and I enjoy Daisuke Ono’s almost manly voice. lol. Yeah, so I assume that this is possibly a yaoi. The kiss between Akira and Shirogane was random and so wtf. It pisses me off to see the voice actor for the one and only GARcher (aka Archer) doing such a sissy voice. However, I would lawl if all of a sudden, I AM THE BONE OF MY SWORD came up.

Shirogane is a mistirious guy. he don’t lose a change to hit on Akira and make him embarasted. Aya and Kengo are too adorable and compleate the sceen. the gorila-girl Aya and the sister-comblexed Kengo are adorable. trully a very interesting anime and the storry line is very good!!!!!
