Quick Summary:
Lelouch runs away from his after school Physical Education to play Chess against the Black King. His younger brother, Lolo, drives him to the Babel Tower, a casino. At the tower, he runs into Kallen, in disguise as a captured Eleven dressed as a Bunny Girl. The Black King shows up and wants to take Kallen for himself, when Lelouch challenges him to a Chess Duel, and defeats him. The Black King is supposed to be a pro, and he is afraid his popularity will go down if word he lost, gets out. He decides to make his bodyguards beat up Lelouch until he admits he cheated, but they are interrupted by a huge shake. The remaining units of the Kuro no Kishi-dan, attack in order to capture their leader, Lelouch. Kallen easily takes out the guards and grabs Lelouch to take him away. However, the building begins to collapse, which separates Kallen from Lelouch, and later separates Lelouch from Lolo. Alone, Lelouch encounters C.C. who reminds him about their contract. They are interrupted by the Britannia army who kills everyone to get rid of any witnesses. The Baron in charge of the operation explains that it was a trap to make C.C. reveal herself. When he was about to get shot, the pressure allowed Lelouch to remember all the memories which were sealed away (by whom and how, we don’t know). He remembers that he is Zero and all the memories he’s had are fake. He goes on to kill the men there.
Thoughts:
Although I’d rather want to know about how Lelouch escaped from Suzaku at the end of Season 1, this was a good first episode.
There was action: Kallen owning mafia guys in a bunny suit.
There was mystery: How’d Lelouch suddenly get a little brother (or is it Nunnally in disguise)? And why is Vietta now a teacher in Lelouch school? And how did Lelouch lose his memories?
There was new characters: Chinese guys, Suzaku’s companions, new Britannia officers to replace the old, Lelouch’s brother…
There was romance: C.C. fuck yeah. Shirley also seems to have fallen in love with him again… maybe.
There was drama: idk… Lelouch always dramatically waves his arms around.
Well, the plot has moved severely from the end of Season 1… friggin time skips always make things complicated. Kallen seems to be just as epic as ever. C.C. seems to be just as immortal as ever. Suzaku seems really mad… but then again I don’t really care since he was never one of my favorite characters. I’m more interested now in Suzaku’s 2 partners who, I suppose, are also pro pilots with OP Knightmare Frames. But, I really don’t like the huge expansion of characters… already at the beginning of the season. They also even haven’t explained who the hell V.V. is… although we can assume. Also, in the intro, we can see Geass on Lelouch’s father, the King of Britannia.

Interesting Camera Angle

EPIC C.C.

Reminds me of Busou Renkin

Reminds me of Morrigan from Darkstalkers

OMG, I really can’t wait until I watch this!! ><”
It’s so obvious that it’s gonna be a LelouchxCC ending, but CC should have a better competition than Kallen and Shirley.
You can watch this episode on veoh.com…i think that Lelouch is gonna end up with Kallen in the end. I see Lelouch and C.C. as companions not lovers i mean she never ages and she’s immortal
As much as I like Kallen’s character, I don’t think that there will be a Kallen ending. Even after realizing Lelouch was Zero, she still believed in Zero’s ideals and goals. She looks up to Zero as a god-like being with superhuman power. Lelouch probably sees her as another pawn in his plan to defeat Britannia. Lelouch would be the King piece, C.C. would be the Queen, Kallen would be a rook or bishop.
Oh well, hope there will be plenty of mayhem & destruction aplenty in R2.
