Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei/Neon Genesis Evangelion Comparison
The ZSZS version was actually close enough to the real thing that I noticed it right away. o.O
The beginning of the episode deals mostly with how our attention is sometimes drawn to something other then the thing that is meant to be noticed. For example, Itoshiki comments on Chiri’s cellphone strap instead of her stylish yutaka.
The episode then goes off on a wild tangent when aliens pour down from the sky and proceed to invade earth. *START MASSIVE Neon Genesis Evangelion REFERENCES NOW*
I enjoyed the massive amount of screen time that Kiri had in this episode, in a mizugi nonetheless. :D Kiri’s game with Majiru made me laugh a bit too. *Kuru kuru kuru kuru* dochi ga maeta? BOOOOP!! lolol… Kiri > all except Abiru.
They also changed the ED ever so slightly, as seen here.

I used to think a show couldn’t get weirder with each episode, but between this and what happens in episode 6…
I -knew- I liked Kiri for some reason. Beneath the hikikomori, there’s a… very big tease/potential Net Idol.

Yup, it’s SHAFT. More fanservice than usual, but I won’t complain, since the later eps get back to being really, really weird.
