Summary:
Lawrence meets the buyer that he sold his furs to after talking to Zeiren. The buyer works for the Milone Company and the head for that specific area, Marle creates a business proposal that he presents to Lawrence which would potentially make both of them rich by taking advantage of the weakening of the silver currency. Lawrence is in high spirits, looking forward to a huge profit and being able to fulfill his lifelong dream of opening a store.

That night, Lawrence sketches a picture of what his shop would look like. Horo gets a look at it and becomes unhappy after Lawrence comments on how nice it would be to settle down. Horo tells Lawrence that that would be troublesome for her because she would have to find a new companion. Horo says that she is sick of being by herself and begins to cry. Lawrence goes to Horo’s bedside and comforts her. In Lawerence’s arms, Horo recalls her reoccurring dream of being left alone. Lawrence gets his sketch and crumples it up, creating a makeshift tissue paper for Horo to use to dry her tears. They then decide to go to bed. Lawerence is surprised to find Horo under his sheets. Horo warns Lawrence that there are three men outside the door. They pack up quickly and make their escape through the second story window. They then head for the Milone Company to seek protection from their pursuers. The situation worsens and they are surrounded. Horo decides to act as a decoy and tells Lawrence that she believes in him.

Horo is captured but Lawrence makes it to the Milone Company unharmed. There he talks to Marle about the danger that Horo is in. However, Marle replies by saying that the risk is too great and the company is more important. A letter comes in and says that they have captured the wolf. Marle thinks that its very strange for them to hold Horo as hostage seeing as it would provide no leverage for negotiation. He asks Lawrence if he has any idea as to why they would want Horo. Lawrence finally reveals Horo’s true identity as a godess that brings abundant harvest. At the same time, Horo is surrounded by a group of men growling, but stops when a cloaked figure enters the room.

Thoughts:
Things are starting to get pretty intense and I’m happy that the overall pace of the show has picked up. I thought it was pretty hilarious how Horo blew her nose into the sketch of the store, clearly revealing how much she hates the idea of Lawrence settling down. I really liked the heart to heart interactions between Lawerence and Horo. It made their relationship that much more valuable. Next episode should be good. I’m also pretty happy that the animation quality has gone back up.
