Episode 24










Summary:
Kai goes to the doctor to pick up his prescription medicine. Nagasumi and the gang run into Kai right after he goes to the doctor and they ask him if hes sick. He runs away because he is too embarrassed to tell them of his medical condition, which happens to be a boil on his butt.

Later, Saru overhears Kai’s doctor talking to a nurse. Saru thinks he hears that Kai has an incurable diesease and soon everyone treats Kai really nicely, thinking that hes going to die soon and they even hold a nationwide fundraiser for him. Kai was unaware that his disease was incurable and really thinks that hes going to die, so he issues a challenge to Nagasumi for San.

Nagasumi confronts Kai in a open field with everyone watching. Mawari and Inchou try to stop Nagasumi from fighting Kai, but Shiranui tells him to go for it and fight with Kai in his last moments of life. Kai pulls out his sword and charges Nagasumi, but his antenna level is 5 and he has super dodging power and Kai is unable to hit him. Kai starts to cry while wildly swinging his sword at Nagasumi, saying that he was happy with his current life and all he wanted to do was stay friends with everyone. Nagasumi punches Kai and knocks him to the ground. San tells Kai that everyone will always be his friend while Nagasumi tells Kai to do his best. With these words, Kai is at peace and he passes on. The next day Kai shows up in school.

Episode 25

Preview

Summary:
Shiranui is ordered by a man named Yoshio to invite the Setouichi Group to a special party. Meanwhile, Nagasumi is glued to the TV watching a rerun of some anime. San starts to lecture him about leaving his socks inside out and she gets mad because Nagasumi is not listening to her. She starts to get even more mad when Nagasumi starts to talk about Luna and he tells San that he was forced into the marriage in the first place. From then on, Nagasumi and San refuse to talk to each other.

Shiranui gathers up the Setouichi Group at school and tells them about Yoshio’s party. They decide that they have to go since he is a noble and other groups are going. San is given a choice, but she chooses to go in order to spite Nagasumi. As San is packing she finds the ring that Nagasumi bought for her at the festival and she thinks back to all the good times they’ve had and with that she leaves the house.

In the morning everyone is wondering where San and the whole Setouichi Group went. Kai confronts Shiranui and asks her if she knows something, however Shiranui refuses to talk. The Mikawa Group’s intel calls Kai and tells him that they went to a party hosted by Yoshio. At that point, Luna shows up and says that Yoshio is an evil person with a bad reputation. She says that his target is probably San and the whole party was a trap. Kai and Luna decide to rescue her and Luna asks if Nagasumi should come along. Kai responds by saying that it depends on his feelings.

The Setouichi Group arrives at Yoshio’s palace and finds that they are the only ones there. Yoshio comes out and starts taking pictures of San. Suddenly, a gas comes out of the walls and puts everyone to sleep. Meanwhile, Nagasumi is wandering around campus and has many flashbacks to all the fun times that he had with San. He realizes that he cannot live without San. He goes to her room and sees the ring and he breaks down. Later, Mawari confronts Nagasumi and gives him a pep talk. After that, Nagasumi decides that he will do anything to get San back. With those words, Kai pops out of the water in his massive submarine and tells Nagasumi to get in. The group then heads off to save the Setouichi Group.

Thoughts:
Wow. Finally things start to get serious. Its funny that all of this could have been avoided if Nagasumi had just apologized to San. But that wouldn’t make for an epic finale to the show now would it? Kai and Luna prove to be useful when the situation is dire and even Shiranui does not this to happen. All in all 25 was a very good episode and I’m anxious to see how it will conclude.
