So basically this is the original image and it happens to be an album cover for Motteke Sailorfuku.
I got rid of that redish-pink background and was left with this.
After a long session of tracing with the pen tool I colored in the outline of the image.
Once the outline was complete coloring the image in was a simple task.
The original and the vector may look similar but close up at full image size, there is a huge difference.
I guess I had to try vectoring at least once. It was pretty fun but I don’t think i’ll be doing another anytime soon.

Woah, that looks like it took a ridiculously long time. Pen tool…yeah, I have no interest in learning how to use that thing properly…its all about polyganal lasso plus tons of clicks.
