Summary:
Nagi is also in the same grade as Hayate because she’s uber smart. But Maria-san holds the record because she went through the entire highschool system at Hakuou in 3 years, or something like that. Hayate goes for his first day of school at Hakuou Academy. There, he meets another butler by the name of Himura. Himura is an Ichiryuu Butler (First Class) and he easily takes Hayate’s necktie without him even knowing. Maria replaces it and Hayate and Nagi go to class. Yukiji-sensei introduces Hayate as a very very cool looking transfer student who is good at everything, which makes Hayate nervous. Hayate makes all the girls in the class blush and go “kyaaaa~!” when he introduces himself also. Later on, Hayate and Nagi meet Hinagiku and talk about clubs. Hayate wonders what club Nagi is in, and Hinagiku says that they’re both in the Kendo club. Nagi joined because she wanted to look cool in the kendo armor after she saw how awesome Hinagiku looked. But the armor didn’t fit her and she didn’t want to use the child’s version. The trio go and check out the kendo club and all the members get angry when they hear Hayate call Hinagiku by her first name. Hayate also gets challenged by Momoazukaoka (or some gay name like that) but after seeing Hayate’s power, he tells his Ichiryuu butler to fight Hayate.

Thoughts:
I was surprised that they stuck so closely to the manga. I mean, it was pretty much the same conversations and scenes as the manga. Well, that’s not a bad thing since lol. The girls going “kya~” at Hayate was lol. Izumi is so ownage. Best character evar. Besides Maria-san. Jah. There’s not a character I hate in Hayate anymore… for some reason. Actually Nagi or Hayate or the blue hair student counsel girl would be one of my least favorite.
