Summary:
Tepperin appears. Ass loads of Gunmen come out to fight. Everyone and their sexy sister fight. Meanwhile, Nia wants to see her father so she joins Simon in the Lagann to somehow penetrate the high defense of the Tepperin. Using the flight capability, the Daiganzan flies up to the head of the Tepperin but is attacked by one of the Tepperin’s arms. The Daiganzan rips through the arm, but is taken apart in the process (the tip can be fired out). Simon, Rossiu, and Nia ride the tip of the Daiganzan into the Spiral King’s room and confront Viral. Viral added 2 more arms to his Gunman, but he gets owned easily. The Spiral King gets into his personal Gunman that also has the same power as the Lagann: the Razengan. After fighting a bit, Simon uses the Giga Drill Breaker, but the attack doesn’t work. Simon also tries to use the Lagann impact, but that doesn’t work either and cancels the Gattai with Gurren. The Lagann transforms into a small drill while the Razengan becomes a large d-d-drill and the 2 go head to head. The Lagann breaks the big drill, and the Spiral King charges up to fight by himself. Even without the Razengan, the Spiral King kicks the Lagann’s ass and proceeds to take Simon out of the cockpit. Simon, hearing Nia’s voice, never gives up, and shoves his trademark drill into the Spiral King’s chest. With an epic turn, he releases a blast of energy and cuts a hole through the King. All the enemy Gunmen power down and with the sunrise, the Gurren Lagann decends onto a cheering crowd among the destruction.

Thoughts:
Simon is pretty much all grown up. He even copies Kamina’s “pump up” line about believing in you and beliving in me and etc. He doesn’t get afraid anymore. And Rossiu wears some awesome clothes under his white cloth.

lol… Razengan. It owns the Rasengan.

The animation was pretty spectacular this episode. Background and lighting was emphasized this time. Also the synch of light with the music was pretty cool. Sora Iro Days is one of the best songs this season along with Sore ga Ai deshou full version sung by Hirano Aya. I should go check out other meg rock songs too. The only other song I’ve heard was incl. because it was the ending for High School Girls. lol the manga was better.

Next Episode seems like a recap episode… maybe. Well the next episode shots were all just of Kamina and it was voiced by Viral. Did Viral die? Probably… but maybe not. Probably not… but maybe. What was with that Spiral King with flaming hair? lol… Exo seems to be correct that they will do a time skip. Or maybe not. A new enemy might appear from like the Rasen Planet or something… or Rasen Star… or Lucky Star…
