This 23 episode anime was fun and deserves notice. Nodame Cantabile had a little bit of everything. There was conflict, comedy, romance, music, yaoi, etc etc. Although some people may not like the animation style or the laidback slow turning of events, I found Nodame Cantabile a good anime that kept my attention throughout the entire series. I am a little sad to see it end, but that’s how things go. The ending was decent. The last episode was mostly recap and I did not like the choice of music. Except for the one piano part where Chiaki grabs Nodame, that was pretty nice. I would’ve liked to see a continuation of the story in Europe, but well maybe in the second season. lol, I would like to see a second season. Does the manga end with Nodame and Chiaki becoming a couple too? And what about the drama?

I never really noticed, but the opening and ending songs by Suemitsu and the Nodame Orchestra are pretty catchy. I kind of want to watch the live drama Nodame now, but I probably won’t be able to find time to watch it.

Nodame Cantabile has also piqued my interest in classical music for some reason. I really should go watch a live orchestra one of these days and be able to feel the difference between live and a recording. Sergei Rachmaninoff ftw.

I thought it was kind of sad that Nodame screwed up her performance because of that one guy’s cellphone on the train. According to Lucky Star, you aren’t allowed to have your cellphone on anyway…
But I still think she should have just performed a song that she knew already: like the one she played at the Nina Lutz Music Festival.

And what’s with that Puri Gorota stuff. What is that anyway… is it trying to reference something? All I know is that Crayon Shinchan owns Puri Gorota.

Well, there are games for Nodame Cantabile. One DS and one PS2. Of what I’ve seen, the DS version works like Elite Beat Agents (aka Ouendan). But idk how the PS2 version functions. The DS one looks pretty fun though.
