So, lately I’ve been ridiculously hooked on Seto and those hawt mermaids and now that the anime is up to episode 10, I’ve been wondering: “Who is that other girl that’s in the intro? Will she compete for Nagasumi too? Is Mawari lesbian?”
So, my thoughts are that in the next few episodes, she will appear out of nowhere (probably walk into town while its raining) and she’ll somehow come into contact with Nagasumi. And she’s not a mermaid. She’s a mermaid hunter. Yeah! And she is on a mission to rid Tokyo of the mermaid infestation. Which is why she looks sort of like a swordswoman (like Motoko or Setsuna in my opinion). And so she’ll fall in love with Nagasumi because of his kindness or something like that. lol.
Yeah, this is all my speculation. Not actual fact. I’m just basing this prediction off of my anime expertise (lol?) … I suppose if I had enough time, I could go look her up in whatever the anime is based off of (is it?). Oh well, maybe someone will see this post and tell me the answer. She looks pretty awesome though.

She is an agent and has eye to eliminate mermaids who cannot fit in with human society.

My speculation is, she would stay in Nagasumi’s home or monitor San’s duty as a wife
in Nagasumi’s house whether she do it right or not. From the opening pic, she decided
to stay also in Nagasumi’s school to watch over San and Lunar.
In the ending theme you can see two chairs still vacant.
From the upper left near San’s mom ( I think Akeno like San’s mother in some way) and in-between Saru’s and Kai’s location ( another troublemaker? maybe )

hah i guessed half right then. mermaid hunter. im a genius. nah anyone coulda saw that coming a mile away. i always like this type of girl in harems. full of lulz and awesome.
