Summary:
Konata is studying for a big test but decides to sneak in a little bit of play time. However, when she logs on her teacher is playing and asks her about her studies. Meanwhile, Tsukasa asks Kagami to help her with the things she doesn’t understand so they begin to study. Konata later calls up Miyuki and asks her for help studying.

At the library they discuss the how they are similar to each other. For instance, Kagami and Miyuki are good students, Konata and Kagami are gamers (Kagami likes shooter games / Konata like garuge and RPG games) and Tskuasa and Konata are stupid. This leads to Miyuki breaking out a book listing the personalities for people by blood type. They then go to a website that matches your name to a type of sushi. Miyuki = Ikura / Kagami = Kappamaki (cucumber sushi) / Konata = Gari (lol thats not even sushi)

The test results come back and Tsukasa’s father is pleased with their scores however, it doesn’t change the fact that Kagami still owns her. After school they decide that since tests are over they should watch a movie. Konata says that she knows a good one to watch but Tsukasa is terrified by Konata’s description. At the theater, the movie is about to start and Konata is nowhere to be found. But in fact Konata is standing right next to Kagami and Tsukasa but they can’t recognize her because she has a huge hat on. After the movie is over they decide to go eat at a cake buffet. (do those exist?!) Like everyone that goes to a buffet, they stack their plates full of cakes, pudding, waffles, etc. and happily begin to eat. However, by the second plate they are pretty much dead and cannot eat anymore.

The next day as they are walking to school. Kagami asks how Konata gets her garuge games because students can’t usually buy them. She says that her dad buys them and gives it to her. In class, Konata asks Miyuki if she plays any games. She responds by saying that she sometimes plays minesweeper and solitaire. (lol) and when Tsukasa asks what her best scores are she shocks them with her awesomeness. Later, Konata finds Miyuki trying to put eyedrops in her eye (unsucessfully) and offers to help. However, Miyuki moves as the drop is about to hit her eye. Konata then holds her head but Miyuki closes her eyes instead. Konata is forced to hold Miyuki’s eye open and Miyuki says that Konata is making a scary face.

Thoughts:
I wish I could go to a cake buffet. Anyway Shirashi’s picture of Akira in her idol pose is so funny. Ep. 9 consisted of lots of dialog, less action. However, Konata trying to put eye drops in Miyuki’s eyes was pretty funny. I wanted to see what kind of sushi Tsukasa was, it probably would have been pretty funny. In next week’s ep it looks like Tsukasa gets another phone. Haha we’ll see how that turns out.
