Summary:
So, it seems that Nagi does have school to go to: the Hakuou Academy. But, guess what! She forgot her lunch at home. Although some may dub it as irresponsibility, Konata-chan says that they are “elements of moe” so its okay. Upon arriving at school, Hayate is confronted by the school guard, who doesn’t want to reveal her name. Mysterious, ne? Well, although she puts up a good fight, Hayate defeats her…by just walking past her. It seems that she got caught up in doing too many special martial arts techniques and forgot to guard the gate to the school properly. In order to not be discovered by the other students, Hayate goes Snake style and hides in a cardboard box to move around. He then realizes that he should just walk around regularly but unexpectedly meets a girl named Katsura Hinagiku, who is the student council president. She is stuck in a tree because she was trying to help a small bird, but is afraid of heights. Hayate helps her down and to thank him, she takes him up to the student council office on top of the clocktower in the school. Meanwhile, the school guard is looking for Hayate and decides to look for him from a bird’s eye view from the top of the clocktower. Coincedentally, when Hayate and Katsura were leaving, the guard, Yukiji (who is also Katsura’s sister) enters and begins to engage Hayate in a fight. However, Katsura wants to protect her new friend and fights her sister (both have swords with Attack+32). The battle rages on when Yukiji steals Hayate’s boxed lunch he was going to give to Nagi and threatens to throw it off the side of the building. However, a gust of wind pushed Yukiji off the edge! Hayate somehow saves her…amazingly, but the boxed lunch is ruined because it dropped to the ground on accident. However, Nagi is very observant and understanding and forgives them.

Thoughts:
Yeah..that Metal Gear reference. Wow, pretty awesome. So, overall I thought it was a good episode that introduced some new characters. Probably Katsura will be the main contender for Nagi’s affection for Hayate, but idk, I didn’t read the manga. All I know is that Katsura is one hot tsundere.

Look at those eyebrows and blush. That’s tsundere written all over it.

If Katsura is so hot…what happened to her sister? I mean…she’s just not moe at all. Even the picture says so.

So, once again I must say. Katsura-chan ftw. Gotta love those compression shorts: too moe for words. My instant favorite.
