Summary:
The battle between the monster and Reideen continues. Junki gets pummeled by the robot’s lasers and a large pillar of light appears. The monster is frozen in place and Junki is discovered naked lying in the middle of the battleground. The next day Maedasaki goes to the site where the monster is frozen at and finds that the military is researching it. A green fluid drips out of the robot onto a nearby worker who recoils in horror. Junki wakes up in the hospital to find his mother and sister at his bedside. Later, Shiori comes by and drops off some clothes for him. Maedasaki happens to be at the hospital and after hearing Junki’s named mentioned he goes to visit him. They discuss the appearance of a mark that has formed on Junki’s arm.Later that night, Junki wakes up to a noise and goes into the hallway to investigate. He encounters a male nurse who seems to be possessed by something and the man chases after Junki through the hospital. Others appear across the hall and trap him. However, Maedasaki shows up and pulls him into the bathroom and they lock themselves in a stall. Maedasaki’s partner makes quick work of the hospital staff and makes his leave. Green worm-like creatures come out of the unconscious people’s ears and disappear. Suddenly, the huge robot is reactivated and mechs are dispatched to destroy it. Junki and Maedasaki are in a car driving away from the city and Junki asks Maedasaki to stop the car. He runs out and calls for Reideen. A huge beam of light shoots down from the sky and Reideen materializes. However, Junki does not fair much better then he did in his last battle with the monster. He then remembers a dream that he once had about Reideen and calls forth one of its weapons, a bow. He teleports away from the monster and fires a beam of energy at the robot, quickly destroying it. After the battle Maedasaki throws a jacket on Junki and asks him to explain what had just happened.

Thoughts:
The mech battles have not changed at all, they still are very disappointing and I am getting more and more turned off by this series. The story has not progressed much and I can’t see where the plot is heading. However, there was a bit of action when Maedasaki’s partner kicked those mind-controlled people’s asses. For now, I am putting a halt to blogging this series and will wait a couple of episodes before deciding if this is worth continuing.
